2010 update.

Been a very long time since I posted.
2010 has been a pretty busy year for us.
The driving school kept steady with students and still going. Hopefully 2011 will be every bit as good.
We put the farm up for sale, lots of looky loos so keep your fingers crossed for us.
Bought a home in the town of Clearwater, close to everything and only a 1/2 block to both the Clearwater River and the Dutch Lake (boat launch as well as the park). We moved in on the 1st of September. Don stays at the farm during the week to keep the house "lived in" and things looking good.
I love it in town. In August we sold all the chickens and in October the pigs went "on holiday" to my freezer.
Don continues to drive school bus as well as teaching the truck and air brake courses. I'm teaching both truck and car so that keeps me out of trouble.
Kelsey still works at A & W in town, obtained her "N" license for those who don't have progressive licensing, kids at 16 can do a written test for there "L" (learners) they keep this for 1 year only driving if there is a licensed person with them and limited to 1 friend and doesn't matter how much family (direct family). After the year then they take a road test to obtain the "N", the limitations are only 1 friend at a time in the car, and zero tolerance to many road infractions. They have this for 2 years then they go for another road test to obtain their full class 5 license. So a 3 year program and they are fully licensed (at 19)
Kelsey is in Grade 12 and will graduate in June. Already has the prom dress bought! She has grown into a very beautiful young woman, independent and very busy.
Ashley worked at the bakery this last summer, it's a bakery/coffee shop and really enjoyed it, she was able to purchase her own computer (laptop) so was quite proud of that and living in town we have high speed internet and wifi. No more air stick or dial up. She opted to not work during the school year but will return when school is out, her job is waiting for her. The end of May she will be going for her learners license and here we go again! She's in grade 10 and like her sister is a good student with great grades.
Different from her sister in that she is more of a home body but enjoys doing things with friends as well.
It has been a joy to watch these girls grow and develop. They have come a long way and have grown so much since we have had them with us. For me I feel I have had the opportunity to be a better mom.
This Christmas we are heading to the Island, it is a first in a very long time. I don't think I have had a Christmas with my dad since Mike was a little guy. We'll spend time with the older ones, Jen, Tricia, Mike and their families for a couple of days then head to the Island.
Well that catches us up with 2010 in a nutshell.
